Youhei Sunohara is a character from the Clannad anime and games.
Youhei is Tomoya Okazaki's friend and also a delinquent. He entered the Hikarizaka Private High School on an athletic recommendation in soccer, but was kicked out of the Soccer Club after being involved in a fight. After this incident, he became lazy, becoming the only student with a higher absence rate than Tomoya.
In the AWA fics, Youhei is a student at the AWA Academy and is part of Class 4.
In the XP4 fics, Youhei debuted in the XP4 Heroes Coalition - Neo-City Diaries.
Appearance[]
Youhei has a dyed-blonde hair and dark-blue, purple eyes. He wears a yellow jacket uniform over a white dress shirt and red necktie, blue trousers and brown shoes.
Personality[]
Youhei is mostly a comic relief character. Tomoya spends a lot of time with him in his room. However, Youhei plays minor roles in some of the character arcs, such as Fuko's, when he helps her when everyone is starting to forget about her, or Nagisa's, during which he becomes a temporary member of the Drama Club. He is the one who comes up with the idea of challenging the basketball club to a match in order to get the Choir club members to realise their determination after Yukine reads his fortune, and he plays with Tomoya and Kyou during the three-on-three match. As noticed by Tomoya, because of what happened to him in the past when he was kicked out of the Soccer Club, he hates people who use handicaps as excuses to get it their own way.
His relationship with his younger sister Mei is a bit distant, but if she is bullied by other people Youhei becomes defensive of her and his personality changes from light-hearted to serious.

Youhei is part of the Heroes Coalitions and is a member of Team G.O.A.T. He also attends the Vanguard Academy as a student.

In Chapter 82, Youhei is seen watching a music video of the Rainbooms and the Crystal Prep Girls inside the Canterlot City Mall when Andres "Singko" Alvarez, Gertrud Barkhorn and Gingka Hagane met up with him, startling him on the process and accidentally confessing his crush on Sugarcoat, much to their amusement. They then decided to watch a movie afterwards.
In Chapter 83, Youhei, alongside Andres "Singko" Alvarez and Gertrud Barkhorn, are seen inside the Canterlot City Mall while trying to calm down and prevent an angry Aria "Arinah" Sakurada from hurting Gingka Hagane but to no avail. Youhei then decided to help Gingka after he thrown into a fountain by Arinah.
In Chapter 84, Youhei is present in Nodoka Takehara and Aka Red's welcome party in one house of the Dormitory Village where he is seen watching Adagio Dazzle, Flash Sentry, Luna Loud and Nicco Bondarev doing a performance.
In Chapter 87, Youhei, alongside Lie Ren, is seen sitting on a bench at the courtyard of the Training Camp. He is later present in the formation of the Dream Express.
In Chapter 109, Youhei is seen at the seaside somewhere in Neo-City where he witnessed Gingka Hagane and King Forest going for a duel until the former knocks down the latter by cheating. He then witnessed Rei Kuroki, Jinx and Kid Flash beating Gingka for cheating and was the few people who remained in the area where they witnessed Tatsumi Oga knocking down a cameraman.
In Chapter 112, Youhei, alongside Lie Ren, are seen sitting on a bench somewhere in the Training Camp with him checking his phone.
In Chapter 132, Youhei is absent during the team formation in the auditorium of the Training Camp but it is revealed that he is a confirmed member of Team G.O.A.T. Later, he, alongside Keiichi Maebara, are seen in Viva Van Vegas where they learned about the team formation, much to their dismay.

Youhei is a student member in the City Saints Academy.
Biography[]
In Chapter 7, Youhei is mentioned by Doowee McAdam and is later mentioned again by Kirie Kojima.
In Chapter 21, Youhei, alongside Nagisa Furukawa and Tomoya Okazaki, are seen inside the cafeteria of the Corona House while being served food by Granny Smith at the counter.
In Chapter 25, Youhei is one of the people that Edwin "Ed" Horace Hall nearly ran over across the city streets.
