Venoct is a character from the Yo-Kai Watch franchise.
A ninja-like Yo-kai of the Slippery Tribe who came to be when a monster named Rubeus J's reign of terror took away everything a young man held dear. Now he roams Springdale searching for Rubeus J to get his revenge. He usually visits Jibanyan, who unknowingly fits Rubeus J's exaggerated description. His scarf has two serpent heads on it, and is used as his powerful attack called "Octo-Snake."
In the AWA fics, Venoct is set to debut in a future AWA storyline.
In the XP4 fics, Venoct debuted in the XP4 Heroes Coalition - Neo-City Diaries.
Appearance[]
Venoct has snow white skin and golden eyes, with long and dark teal hair that covers most of his face, tied into a ponytail with a sky blue band. He wears a dark purple kimono with a black overcoat hanging off his waist, tied with a white belt. He wears black shin covers and finger-less gloves, as well as straw sandals. Around his neck is an azure, wisp-like scarf with tails resembling dragon heads. He is 140 cm tall (About 55 Inches).
Personality[]
Extremely serious, stern and stoic, Venoct is a fighter through and through, and doesn't make friends easily. However he is also extremely honorable and would never break the few bonds he's forged. Even his initial interaction with Nate/Katie is cold and stand-offish, with him rebuffing any ideas that he might be their ally. By the time of the showdown with McKraken, however, he has warmed to the player enough to give them his Yo-kai Medal.
While he shares some traits with his counterpart Kyubi, he lacks that Yo-kai's arrogance and manipulative nature.
Venoct has a deep hatred towards Rubeus J due to him destroying his village, family and friends when he was alive. His hatred was what transformed him into the being known as Venoct, the undefeatable Yo-kai.

Venoct's personality was tone down a little as he gets along well with a few members such as Nyaruto Nyazumaki and SpongeBob Squarepants, though the latter annoys him at times.

XP4 Heroes Coalition - Neo-City Diaries[]
In Chapter 14, Venoct is seen having an intense spar with Nyaruto Nyazumaki in the Training Camp.
In Chapter 16, Venoct, alongside a few, are seen eating pizza in the mini kitchen at the Training Camp when Chris Pearson and Fabia Sheen joined them. Later, Elise Pearson arrives in the kitchen, he and the others decided to leave the mini kitchen, so Chris and Elise can have a private conversation. After that, Venoct and the others came back to the kitchen where Elise announced that she's joining the Heroes Coalitions, he, alongside Chris Pearson, Nyaruto Nyazumaki and Chie Satonaka then stopped Elise from killing Dan Mandel after the latter made an insulting comment to the former.
In Chapter 20, Venoct is seen alongside Nyaruto Nyazumaki having coffee at one table in the Rabbit House.
In Chapter 24, Venoct, alongside Alden Cole, Vegeta, Edwin "Ed" Horace Williams, Rolf Yrmi, Amelia Sainthearts and Sayo, are seen line-up towards the counter of the cafeteria in the Vanguard Academy, Alden is taking too long in choosing his food which causes Vegeta to grab him and then tossing him into a trash can, much to everyone's delight.
In Chapter 33, Venoct, alongside Nyaruto Nyazumaki and Toadal Dude, are seen having a conversation inside a classroom somewhere in the Vanguard Academy.
In Chapter 42, Venoct, alongside Nyaruto Nyazumaki, are seen inside the training area of the Training Camp while on top of a giant ball.
XP4 Heroes Coalition - Welcome to Herowood[]
In Chapter 5, Venoct, alongside Nyaruto Nyazumaki and Toadal Dude, are seen in the district of Triple X in Herowood where they witnessed Chicken getting chased by Tae Yamada, much to their amusement.

Venoct is a S ranked Lightning-attribute Yokai and is a skilled fighter.
Trivia[]
- Venoct is based on Yamata-no-Orochi (from which comes his Japanese name), the eight-headed serpent that terrorized Japan during the age of mythology, and demanded young maidens in sacrifice.
- In Yo-kai Watch, Venoct uses the assertive, masculine 'ore' first pronoun but, in the second game he instead uses the more polite/neutral 'watashi'. The reason why this happens is because of the events of Yo-kai Watch 2 which made him change along with some other Yo-kai.
- In Yo-kai Watch the Movie: The Great Adventure of the Flying Whale & the Double World, Nyan! Venoct is shown to be able to evolve into Illuminoct despite this not being possible in the games.
