A bookshop owner and former member of the White Fang that Mercury and Emerald track down
In the AWA fics, Tukson is one the people who was given a second chance to live again in ZeroTopia. Tukson currently resides in Normal Earth at the Uzumaki Villa where owns a bookstore.
In the XP4 fics, Tukson debuted in the XP4 Heroes Coalition - Remnant Chronicles.
Appearance
Tukson appeared much like any other person in Vale. He wore a short-sleeved quarter-zip burgundy and black shirt with a visible white undershirt. His hair was cleanly cut, and he had noticeable sideburns, along with hairy, muscular arms. He also had protractable claws in place of nails. When he underwent his Faunus transformation, his fangs extended and his features became more feral.
Personality
Tukson appeared to be very professional and polite, having a great deal of knowledge about which books he was in possession of.
He even greeted Emerald and Mercury warmly when they entered the store and answered all of their questions, in spite of the fact that he knew who they were and why they were there. As the pair became more confrontational, criticizing his store's catchphrase of having "every book under the sun" as being "false advertising", he replied calmly, without anger.
However his sternness was shown when Emerald further questions him about leaving the White Fang and about his knowledge of them, to which he coldly replied with "Yes" to every question they asked, including whether he would fight back. He also only appeared to use violence as a last resort.
XP4 Fanfics
Tukson's life is spared. He is part of the Heroes Coalitions as a Solo Hero. He also attends at Vanguard Academy as a student.
XP4 Heroes Coalition - Remnant Chronicles
In Chapter 1, Tukson, alongside Alisa Ilinichina Amiella, Ciel Alencon and Nana Kozuki greeted the Belladonna Family & Sun Wukong in their home somewhere in Menagerie. Tukson revealed that he faked his death by creating a clone, much to their shock. They later had a conversation while Blake left the room to have a time for herself.
In Chapter 2, Tukson, alongside Kali Belladonna, is seen in the Belladonna home in Menagerie while waiting for Ghira Belladonna to get ready. Later, they met a large crowd outside, Tukson is wearing a Darth Vader helmet for some reason. When Ghira did a speech however it was interrupted by Ilia Amitola, calling them all traitors, angering him and the others. And when Ilia fled, Tukson took off his helmet and muttered that Adam Taurus can't manipulate everyone.
In Chapter 3, Tukson, alongside Ghira Belladonna, Kali Belladonna and Sun Wukong joined Blake Belladona, Alisa Ilinichina Amiella, Ciel Alencon and Nana Kozuki in the living area of the Belladonna Residence somewhere in Menagerie where they saw Rhodey "Rhode Dogg" Dogglas, much to their shock. Rhodey then revealed that he infiltrated the White Fang base and kidnapped Sienna Khan, much to everyone's shock. After Rhodey left to take Sienna to the Plumbers HQ, they decided to have a conversation of what to do next.
In Chapter 5, Tukson, alongside Blake Belladonna and Sun Wukong, sets out to recruit people in Menagerie. Tukson managed to round up some people only to give them a wrong speech, much to his embarrassment. Later that day, Tukson entered a bathhouse only to be chased out by gays. He later joined Blake and Sun on a table by the docks.
In Chapter 8, Tukson is having a conversation with Alisa Ilinichina Amiella, Ciel Alencon and Nana Kozuki in the Belladonna Residence somewhere in Menagerie. Later when the Belladonna Residence is under attack by the White Fang, Tukson is seen taking out a few White fang grunts.
In Chapter 9, Tukson arrives to help Ghira Belladonna in taking on Corsac & Fennec Albain in the burning Belladonna Residence. Then Blake Belladonna and Sun Wukong arrives, Ghira then told Blake to look for her mother. After Blake left, Tukson, Sun and Ghira charges towards the Albain Brothers.
In Chapter 10, Tukson, alongside Sun Wukong and Ghira Belladonna, are fighting Corsac & Fennec Albain somewhere in the Belladonna Residence when they came across Blake Belladonna taking on Ilia Amitola. As the fight continues, Tukson witnessed Ghira saving Ilia when a balcony nearly fell on top of her and later witnessed Fennec getting crushed by the burning balcony. When they reunited with Kali Belladonna, Alisa Ilinichina Amiella and Ciel Alencon, they witnessed Ilia stopping Corsac from attacking them. Later, Tukson, alongside everyone, are seen outside the Belladonna Residence and witnessed Blake Belladonna giving everyone a speech and getting everyone to unite to stop the White Fang. Later, Tukson and everyone left when Rhodey "Rhode Dogg'' Dogglas cheerfully asked them for a high-five.
In Chapter 12, Tukson, alongside Sun Wukong, Blake Belladonna, Ghira Belladonna, Rhodey "Rhode Dogg" Dogglas, Alisa Ilinichina Amiella, Ciel Alencon, Nana Kozuki, Mata and an army of faunus from the Menagerie arrives in Mistral in front of the Haven Academy and confronted Adam Taurus & his men. After foiling Adam's plans and with the arrival of the Mistral Police, Adam charges towards Blake but is intercepted by Rhodey, Adam then ordered his men to kill everyone and another battle ensues.
XP4 Heroes Coalition - Neo-City Diaries
In Chapter 21, Tukson made a phone call to Louie and told him that Rhodey "Rhode Dogg" Dogglas is taking the leader of White Fang to the Plumbers HQ.
Abilities
As a Faunus, he was able to utilize protractable "claws" which grew from his fingers. Also, Tukson could also have possessed night vision, which is a common characteristic amongst Faunus.
XP4 Fanfics
Tukson mentioned that he created a clone but whether this his semblance is yet to be confirmed.
Trivia
- His name is likely derived of the Spanish given name "Tucson" which means "black base".
- His name and catchphrase may also be a reference to Frances Mayes' 1996 memoir Under the Tuscan Sun: At Home in Italy.
- When discussing what kind of Faunus he was, Mercury jokes that he was like a cat before Emerald mentions him being like a puma.
- This is a reference to the second episode of Red vs. Blue, when the Red team is discussing what to name their new vehicle, and Grif says that he thinks it looks like a puma. Afterwards, Church and Tucker are observing this from the cliff, and their conversation very closely matches the RWBY lines, with the characters even having similar color schemes.
- Originally, the RWBY crew considered including a shot after Mercury and Emerald leave Tukson's store, where in the audience is given a view of Tukson's blood spattered on a wall inside the store.
- At one point, Tukson was to originally have blond hair, in contrast to the darker color of the final version.
- While he is in the back room of his shop, he hums the tune of the opening guitar riff for Red vs Blue.
- In the XP4 fics, Tukson faked his death.
