Sylvia van Hossen is one of the main characters from the Princess Lover! anime and games.
Sylvia is a noble of the fictional Flemish Principality of Eastern Europe. While she grew up in Flemish, she has not spent much of her mature life in that nation and attends school in Japan. She is the elder of the two daughters of Vincent van Hossen, the head of the van Hossen family and is very skilled in fencing. She first meets Teppei when they spar in the garden during a party. Both of them are surprised when they are told that their marriage has been arranged. When they next sparred, Sylvia won the showdown by the merest fraction of a second. She is a bit reserved but enjoys her bouts with Teppei and is trying to understand him as a friend first, before they are married. Maria, her younger sister, wants her to marry Teppei. Sylvia is the best friend of Charlotte, the Princess of Hazelrink. She is also the captain of the Flemish military unit called the Horse Riders. She is a hard woman with high standards and initially has a tendency to be outwardly repulsed by Teppei.
In the XP4 fics, Sylvia debuted in the XP4 Heroes Coalition - Neo-City Diaries.
In the AWA fics, Sylvia is a student at the AWA Academy. Sylvia is also part of the AWA Rookie 20 and is ranked # 17.
Appearance[]
Sylvia has blond hair that is generally put up in a bun. She has blue eyes that sometimes appears grey in certain lighting, she has a particularly large bust and has quite a defining curved body. She wears a dark-blue mantle jacket with a silver chest plate and shoulder armor pads, white gloves, black tights and silver stilleto boots.
Sylvia sometimes wears a red school uniform, brown skirt, brown tights and brown shoes.
Personality[]
Sylvia is a hard woman with high standards and has a tendency to be outwardly repulsed by anyone. She has difficulty expressing her feelings around him and is better with actions than words. She loved her late mother very dearly but was unable to cry at her funeral. While she grew up Flemish, she has not spent much of her mature life in that nation and attends school in Japan.

In Chapter 5, Sylvia is seen alongside Mato Kuroi, Taro Yamada, Dac, Red, Karizza Stronghold, Sakura Kinomoto, Kaoru Matsubara, Maya Sparrow, Haru Glory, Shana and Erena Reese are seen gathered inside the training area in the Training Facility. They all wonder about the decreased members in their group when Vegeta arrives and revealed that a lot of trainees drops out, much to their shock. Later, Son Goku arrives and reassured everyone that training goes on, Goku then ordered everyone to do a 500 laps, much to their dread and annoyance, Goku then minimized it to 20 laps.
In Chapter 12, Sylvia, alongside Raya Amanda, are seen walking around the Training Camp when they came across Allen Walker, Lavi, Chad Mordetzky and Duncan "Firebreather" Rosenblatt by the bleachers. After having a conversation with the guys, she witnessed Alden Cole bumping on Raya with the latter getting angry when he called her various words about Raya's short stature. And when Raya went berserk and chased after Alden, she and the others worked together to stop Raya from killing Alden. Later that day at the mall, she and Raya are seen doing some shopping with Alden as their pack mule.
In Chapter 14, Sylvia is seen at the bleachers of the Training Camp listening to Dan Mandel's rant over Wesley Bryans' flaws. She later glared at Dan in disapproval after Dan threw a ball at Wesley.
In Chapter 19, Sylvia met the new recruits, Eddy Skipper McGee, Marcus "The Kane" McGee, Eddward Marion "Double D, Edd" Smith, Edwin Horace "Ed" Williams and Rolf Yrmi. Later that night and after a whole day of training, Sylvia took part of the little get-together at the training facility's cafeteria.
In Chapter 27, Sylvia, alongside Duncan "Firebreather" Rosenblatt, Kenny Rogers and Raya Amanda, are seen walking in the streets of Neo-City in the dead of the night when they came across the Shounen Bat, they tried to go after him but the enigmatic entity escaped. They then discovered Alden Cole's dead body in an alley.
In Chapter 28, Sylvia is seen inside the Training Facility of Neo-City and later took part of a rope climbing exercise which ended in chaos.
In Chapter 43, Sylvia is amongst the many people inside the Training Camp whom is listening to Eddward "Double D, Edd" Marion Smith and Minna-Dietlinde Wilcke broadcasting the announcement of the 'Wildcard Rules'.
In Chapter 50, Sylvia, alongside Raya Amanda, made their presence in the training area of the Training Camp where they challenged Eddy Skipper McGee and Marcus "The Kane" McGee for another game of H.A.V.O.C. Marathon which the boys accepted.
