Susanoo is a character from the Akame ga Kill anime and manga.
A living, self-aware Teigu. Despite not being human, he has a personality and quickly bonds with the other members of Night Raid.
In the XP4 fics, Susanoo debuted in the XP4 Heroes Coalition - Neo-City Diaries.
In the AWA fics, Susanoo, going by the full name of Susanoo Magatama, is a student at the AWA Academy.
Appearance[]
Susanoo is a tall man, he has a messy blue hair with bull-like horns coming out of the sides of his head, he has blue eyes and a thin goatee. He wears a white sharped double high-collared robe with over-sized sleeves over a black turtlenecked long-sleeved muscle shirt and a brown circle bod strapped across chest, black sash is wrapped around his waist with two hip armors dangling on each sides, white baggy pants, a brown shin guard underneath a black leg warmer, white socks and brown slippers.
Personality[]
Susanoo was a perfectionist who always noticed flaws in the others' appearance, even in the heat of a battle, as seen when he pointed out Desta-Ghoul's asymmetrical bones while fighting it. He always tried to fix such imperfections when he could, as seen with Tatsumi's shirt and Mine's hair. He was also quite straightforward and, while respectful towards his allies, had little understanding of human concepts, such as friendship; however, he was eventually able to develop bonds with his fellow Night Raid members.

Susanoo's life was spared and later joins the Heroes Coalitions as part of Night Raid. He also attends the Vanguard Academy as a student.

In Chapter 66, Susanoo, alongside Arachnus and Claire Fox, are hiding inside a wrecked building in an abandoned island from an unknown enemy lurking under water.
XP4 Heroes Coalition - Azur Lane[]
In Chapter 1, Susanoo, alongside Arachnus and Claire Fox, are hiding inside a wrecked building in an abandoned island from an unknown enemy lurking under water when a trio of shipgirls, Sheffield, Edinburgh and Akashi arrives at their hiding spot. After befriending them and sharing information, the two sides were spotted by enemy scouts causing them to leave their hiding place and go separate ways. But Susanoo suggested to follow the shipgirls, believing that an ambush is awaiting for them.
In Chapter 2, Susanoo, alongside Arachnus and Claire Fox, arrives to save Edinburgh, Sheffield and Akashi after the girls got ambushed by shipgirls from Ironblood. Upon hearing Z23 getting angry over their interference, Susanoo casted a spine-chilling glare at her, rendering her helpless. After the shipgirls from Ironblood retreated, they met up with Enterprise and Belfast, and after introducing themselves, he and Arachnus felt something, and told everyone that their shipgirls' comrades are in danger.
In Chapter 4, Susanoo, alongside Arachnus, Claire Fox, Enterprise, Belfast, Sheffield, Edinburgh and Akashi met up with Javelin and Laffey off-screen. They later met the other shipgirls and the Full Force Guerrilla outside the abandoned island, Susanoo was then told that he, Arachnus and Claire are needed for another mission, so he said his goodbyes to the shipgirls and went back to Neo-City.
In Chapter 8, Susanoo is mentioned by Kazeyoshi Imai.
In Chapter 14, Susanoo, alongside Arachnus and Claire Fox, returned to Azur Lane to aid everyone and brought Amagi with them, much to the shipgirls' shock. Later the day, Susanoo, alongside the Full Force Guerrilla, Arachnus, Claire Fox, Amagi, Cleveland, Montpelier, Columbia, Denver, Hammann, Hornet and San Diego, are seen on a ship making their way on a certain direction while listening to Amagi explaining on how she survived and how she found herself in Neo-City before hearing explosions from the distance. Later, Susanoo, alongside everyone, arrives at the battlefield where they witnessed the arrival of the Emotionless, Susanoo, alongside Arachnus, Claire Fox, the Full Force Guerrilla and a couple of Eaglez took on the Emotionless, and defeated them.
In Chapter 15, Susanoo, alongside the Full Force Guerrilla, Arachnus, Claire Fox, Prince of Wales, Illustrious, Cleveland, Columbia, Denver, Montpelier, Suffolk, Norfolk, San Diego, Hammann, Helena, Sheffield, Edinburgh, London, Repulse, South Dakota and Hornet, witnessed the Orochi launching the rocket towards a certain direction and witnessed Enterprise stopping the rocket, making it explode. Later, Susanoo is seen in a ship alongside everyone where he witnessed Amagi reuniting with Akagi. He later witnessed Mace Wyndu confronting Kazeyoshi Imai and after Kazeyoshi handed the Space Gem to Mace and leaving, he is relieved to find out that Kazeyoshi gave Mace the wrong container.
In the Epilogue, Susanoo, alongside Arachnus, Claire Fox, Edinburgh, Sheffield and Long Island, are seen inside Akashi's Shop in Azur Lane, watching Shiranui ordering Akashi around.
XP4 Heroes Coalition - AKB0048[]
In Chapter 25, Susanoo is present in confronting the DES Soldiers in Neo-City.
In Chapter 29, Susanoo is amongst the thousands of AKB-fans gathered around the concert hall in a city somewhere Kasumigastar and later witnessed the return of Atsuko Katagiri and the rest of the missing idols, and had a great time watching the performances afterwards.
In Chapter 32, Susanoo took part of paying respects for Mace Wyndu's death by attending his funeral via burial at sea in Atamistar before witnessing the arrival of a fleet of Dimensional Defense Union ships whom paid their respects for Mace by gifting him with a Heroes' Tribute.
Abilities[]
Susanoo was a biological Teigu, and the first one shown in the form of a human being. Because of his nature as a Teigu, he is able to regenerate injuries as long as his core is not destroyed. He also seems to be immune to poisons and toxins that would kill ordinary warriors. He wields a stave-like weapon called Wolf Fang Mace with blades protruding from it and is extremely proficient in battle. He is also very adept at housework and cooking, assisting Akame in the daily chores at Night Raid's HQ.
Trump Card[]
Magatama Manifestation (Magatama Kengen, literally translated as "Evil Soul Manifestation"): Susanoo absorbs his user's life energy into the magatama on his chest to access a more powerful, armored form. While under the effects of Magatama Manifestation, his hair whitens, his horns turn black, and a disk appears on his back. His user will die after commanding him to use this move three times. He has several different abilities that only become usable in conjunction with his trump card.
- Yata no Kagami (Yata no Kagami, literally translated as "Eight Span Mirror"): Susanoo uses the floating disk on his back to create a mirror which can reflect any kind of projectiles.
- Ame no Murakumo (Ame no Murakumo, literally meaning "Sword of the Gathering Clouds of Heaven"): Susanoo generates a very long transparent sword from energy stored in the magatama. The sword has immense power, being capable of cutting Esdeath's multiple layered ice wall with ease.
- Yasakani no Magatama (Yasakani no Magatama, literally translated as "Eight Shaku Curved Jewel"): Susanoo temporarily increases his speed and physical strength.

- Susanoo's name is a reference to the Shinto god, Susanoo.
- Susanoo's trump card Magatama Manifestation, as well as items Mirror of Yata and Ame no Murakumo are based on the Imperial Regalia of Japan.
