Squigly, known by her full name as Sienna Contiello, is a playable character from the Skullgirls game.
Squigly is the last "surviving" member of the Contiellos, a famous line of opera singers and long-time clients of the Medici family.
Fourteen years ago, tragedy befell Squigly’s family when the Medici mafia came close to obtaining the Skull Heart. During this incident she became one of the Skullgirl's undead minions. Once the threat had been defeated, only Squigly’s body was recovered, and Lorenzo Medici himself paid for her funeral.
Fast forward to the present: Bloody Marie's emergence has awoken Squigly from her long sleep. As part of the Skullgirl’s undead legion, Squigly should have become nothing more than a mindless servant of the pale maiden. However, thanks to the powers of her Parasite Leviathan, she is spared this fate.
Squigly is graceful, calm and well-mannered, but tough and determined to complete her mission. Her past experience with a Skullgirl gives her a unique perspective and a greater understanding of the situation over most.
In the AWA fics, Squigly, going by the full name of Squigly Continello, is student at the AWA Academy.
In the XP4 fics, Squigly debuted in the XP4 Heroes Coalition - Neo-City Diaries.
Appearance[]
Squigly is an undead woman with a bluish-gray skin, red eyes and a dark-blue hair tied in a sidetail with one of her eye being covered by her bangs. She wears a black pants and a dress-like top with a skull covering her flat chest, red & white sleeves with flowery cuffs, red & white socks and black heels. Leviathan goes through her right ear and out of the left side of her head. Her mouth is stitched with strings.

XP4 Heroes Coalition - Neo-City Diaries[]
In Chapter 14, Squigly met up with Wesley Bryans at the Training Camp. After Leviathan and Wesley had a private conversation, Wesley then asks her out on a date which she accepted, much to Wesley's joy.
In Chapter 15, Squigly are seen having a conversation with Wesley Bryans at the Training Camp grounds. She is seen again having a conversation with Peacock at Training Camp Grounds along with Wesley.
In Chapter 28, Squigly are seen inside the Training Facility of Neo-City and later took part of a rope climbing exercise which ended in chaos.
In Chapter 31, Squigly are seen in the track field of the Training Camp where Nora Valkyrie tries to test out her newest invention when Orihime Inoue arrives and told them that there is a gathering in the auditorium. Later in the auditorium, they witnessed the formation of the New Age Avengers.
XP4 Heroes Coalition - Welcome to Herowood[]
In Chapter 5, Squigly, alongside Leviathan, Maya Sparrow and Sakura Kinomoto, are seen having lunch inside the Mister Inasal eatery somewhere in the district of Triple X in Herowood when Kaoru Matsubara and Lissa Ylisse joins them.
XP4 Heroes Coalition - Infinite Stratos[]
In the Epilogue, Squigly is mentioned to have been getting along with Laura Bodewig.
Abilities[]
She and/or Leviathan use long-range attacks to prevent close range combat. However, their mid-air attacks are quite limited and short-ranged and need to be timed correctly. Most of her ground attacks while squatting are very slow and easy to be seen and spotted at any distance on the screen but each hit does massive damage. Whereas Filia and Samson have limited cooperation in the attacks, Squigly and Leviathan synchronize their attacks to move fluently.
Squigly uses her voice (with the assistance from Leviathan) in battle to not only have the screen focus her and drag opponents towards her for her advantage, but also to produce a big projectile that resembles a musical note to deliver damage. She can also charge her moves with stances so they can become more damaging or last longer. The stances can be canceled into different atttacks to throw opponents off their guard.

- Her birthday is November 2nd, and she was fourteen-years-old at death (making her technically twenty-eight).
- Her blood type is embalmed (formerly A-).
- Her official likes list contains Leviathan, her family, tradition, reading up on current events, animals (particularly birds and snakes), music, singing, noodles, cream soda, cake, burgers, gardening, the smell of incense, bubble baths, and not being dead. Her dislikes include the Medici Mafia, Black Dahlia, Double, the Skull Heart, rude people, uncivilized behavior, dishonesty, not taking karaoke seriously, thunderstorms, and being dead.
- During her beginning animation, one of her twin sidetails is lost when Leviathan emerges through it, but Leviathan comes out of the other one when she flips (as well as her one skeletal hand switching sides), making it seem to grow back. In turning animations, it sort of looks like the ponytail recedes back into her skull, and then comes back out the other side.
- Despite being rivals, Squigly and Filia are rather polite with each other. They probably wouldn't have even fought each other if Samson and Leviathan hadn't started bickering.
- An image found in the game files spells her name "Squiggley".
- In the XP4 fics, Squigly is dating fellow team member, Wesley Bryans and with Leviathan's blessing, the two became a couple.
- In the XP4 fics, Leviathan is considered a member of the Cross Guards.
