Sakura Shinguji is the main female protagonist from the Sakura Wars anime and games.
The daughter of Kazuma and Wakana Shinguji, Sakura is a country mouse samurai, a recruit in the Imperial Combat Revue's Flower Division.
In the AWA fics, Sakura debuted in the All Worlds Alliance Missions - CROSSOVERDOSE. She later attends the AWA Academy as student.
In the XP4 fics, Sakura debuted in the XP4 Heroes Coalition - Neo-City Diaries.
Appearance[]
Sakura is a young woman with an average height, she had a slender frame and a fair complexion, she had a long dark-blue hair tied in a high ponytail by a red ribbon and she had brown-colored eyes. She wears a pink kimono over a white gii with flower designs, she had a purple sash with ribbon-like tail wrapped around her waist, she wears red hakama pants, white socks, black slip shoes and brown fingerless gloves.
Personality[]
Sakura is gentle, polite and kind but somewhat clumsy and naive. She has a bright and cheerful personality with a strong sense of justice. She constantly gets jealous whenever she catches Ogami talking with another girl.
Being the newest member of the Flower Division wasn't exactly easy for the naive newcomer. Sakura had to overcome her inexperience and prove herself to her comrades in order to gain acceptance within the group.

Sakura is a member of the Heroes Coalitions and is part of the Squad of Excellence as an honorary member. She also attends the Vanguard Academy as a student.
XP4 Heroes Coalition - Neo-City Diaries[]
In Chapter 7, Sakura, alongside members of the Universal Guardians and Squad of Excellence, is present in the Mission Briefing Room in the Training Facility where Dr. Michael Pating brief them about their mission in the Halidom of Ylisse before departing.
In Chapter 44, Sakura, alongside the rest of the Squad of Excellence, welcomes Cyrille and Toma Wildchild for becoming an official member of the team.
XP4 Heroes Coalition - Awakening[]
In Chapter 1, Sakura, alongside members of the Universal Guardians and Squad of Excellence, arrives in a forest somewhere in Ylisse and appears to be lost. They later came across Chrom, Frederick, Lissa and Robin and quickly befriends them. After having conversation about the Emotionless, both sides decided to work together to eliminate the creatures. They decided to camp for the rest of the night.
In Chapter 2, Sakura, alongside members of the Universal Guardians, the Squad of Excellence and Chrom's group, arrives in Ylisse and met up with Owain. Later, after Chrom decided to have a meeting with Frederick, Geo Stelar and Luna Platz, the rest decided to meet up with the Shepherds at the garrison. Later, Chrom and the others arrived and claims to have an announcement.
In Chapter 3, Sakura is seen having a conversation with Chrom, Sumia, Sakura Haruno and Ichiro Ogami at a nearby crate in the garrison when Sasuke Uchiha brought Kellam to them.
In Chapter 4, Sakura, alongside her team, Lissa, Donnel, Ricken, Henry and Miriel, are seen walking around a forest somewhere in Ylisstol when they came across Nowi. Then Emotionless emerges from the dark before taking on and defeating the creatures.
In Chapter 6, Sakura, alongside her team, Chrom, Sumia, Robin, Owain, Gregor and Olivia met up with Basilio, Flavia, Lon'qu and Cordelia at East Ferox to discuss about the Emotionless when Raimi arrives and told everyone that the fort is being attacked by the Emotionless. Everyone fought the creatures and managed to get rid of them before heading back inside the fort.
In Chapter 7, Sakura, alongside Sakura Haruno, Ichiro Ogami, Hinata Hyuuga, Frederick, Maribelle, Stahl and Panne having a conversation about the Unification Ceremony at the garrison.
In Chapter 11, Sakura is at the garrison when they heard a noise, they ran to the corridors to see Ryuuko Matoi and Ricken chasing a strange hooded figure. Everyone went after the figure and led them to a large grassy fields, and reveals itself as a Pokemon known as Hitmonlee. The Pokemon then revealed that he stole an ancient alien artifact called the Ara-Ka Cube inside the castle. Everyone watches in horror as Hitmonlee uses the alien artifact to summon a zombified version of Emmeryn and Phila, much to everyone's disgust. Hitmonlee then summoned a large number of Emotionless, forcing Sakura and everyone to fight. Sakura then witnessed Donnel activating his Gift.
In Chapter 12 & Epilogue, Sakura, alongside everyone, witnessed Donnel activating his Gift turning both Emmeryn and Phila back to life. After defeating the remaining Emotionless, forcing Hitmonlee to flee, life in Ylisstol went back to normal.
XP4 Heroes Coalition - Welcome to Herowood[]
In Chapter 4, Sakura, alongside Luna Platz and Marcia Imperial, are seen having a conversation in the main plaza of The Multiverse's Crossroad in Herowood while Ash Ketchum watches them from a far.
XP4 Heroes Coalition - Date A Live[]
In Chapter 4, Sakura, alongside Erica Fontaine, Gemini Sunrise, Hsien-Ko, Ichiro Ogami and Sakura Shinguji, made their presence inside a dark alley somewhere in Tengu City where they confronted Team Capucho.
In Chapter 6, Sakura, alongside Erica Fontaine, Gemini Sunrise, Hsien-Ko, Ichiro Ogami and Shun Kazama, are seen inside a cafe somewhere in Tengu City where they had a conversation about Team Capucho and their plans of kidnapping Shidou Itsuka.

Sakura wields many sword attacks that she and her steam mech can use in the anime and game, including her signature Hyakka Ryoran.
