Sakura Hagiwara

Sakura Hagiwara, also known as Transcendent Cutie and Fighting Princess, is the main protagonist from the Wanna Be the Strongest in the World! series.

Sakura was initially a member of the idol group Sweet Diva when she was 17 years old. She was voted to be the central vocalist for the fourth time in a row at the start of the series.

Initially cheerful and bright, Sakura always puts her idol group before her own feelings but always tries her best at anything, which is why she took a leave of absence from her idol career to pursue professional wrestling so as to redeem her group's honor after losing to Rio in a non-title grudge match.

Eventually, Sakura pursues wrestling full-time, alongside her career with Sweet Diva.

In the AWA fics, Sakura is a student at the AWA Academy.

Appearance

Sakura is a petite, young girl with outstanding bodily features. She has long, silky black hair with a navy blue tint to it, wide, loveable hazel eyes, a voluptuous body with an enormous butt accompanied by massive thighs and large, squishy, pillowy boobs.

As a pop idol, Sakura would wear long white gloves, a red and white top over a red and gold shirt, a pink and white skirt, black stockings and white boots.

When Sakura decided to become a pro wrestler, she wears the Berserk attire while training and use white and red armbands and a two piece that let her large breasts hang out, allowing it to jiggle at times during wrestling matches. After her fight with Rio when she loses in the Masacara conta Masacara (hair for hair) fight, her hair gets cut short to a choppy, tomboy length, but starts to grow back to normal as seen in episode 6 and beyond.

Personality

Sakura is a perky, naïve, and emotional girl, as seen throughout the story in many episodes. However, she is confident in what she does as a vocalist and pro wrestler.

As the series progresses, Sakura becomes more serious in fighting and starts to take on more serious opponents. She also wants to help other fighters to get better, as seen with Moe Fukuoa.

However, Sakura is also seen to be a pushover every once in a while during matches, often begging her opponents to stop harming her when she's in pain. Most times when she fights, and is losing, Sakura can be seen with watery eyes and pink cheeks, often because she is in a revealing position that reveal her cleavage, butt or thighs.

Abilities

Sakura has an average wrestling skills but is nowhere an amateur, and no where near a true professional. Her most prominent move is the Hip Attack and the Sakura & Misaki Special. However, she is also shown to not have much resistance towards other pro wrestlers as seen in her match against Jackal, she was howling in pain and crying.

Trivia

• Sakura is the first character from Wanna be the Strongest in the World! to be introduced in the AWA fics.
• Sakura's biggest weakness is the Boston Crab; so much so that it causes her to give up in her first 50 matches.
• Sakura loses her first 65 matches.
  • During Sakura's 50 match losing streak, fans have grown sick of her always giving up once she is put in the Boston Crab.
  • Often times when she is losing or in pain, Sakura begins to make suspicious sounds that sound like moaning, which is then sometimes accompanied by a close-up of either her boobs, thighs or butt.
  • Sakura's long run of losses before notching her first win is reminiscent of Japanese wrestling legend Kenta Kobashi's.
• The "Hell of 100 Throws" Sakura had to get through before she was judged ready to debut was part of All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling's training regimen, except that the AJW trainees had to do it every day.
• Whenever Sakura is seen being pinned face first into the ground in a fight, her body flattens, yet appears to be fine during other, non-fighting scenes.
• One of the most common phrases Sakura says is, "It hurts!" It goes to show that even after her training, she's still no where near being a professional, as she begs her opponents with tears in her eyes to stop whatever they were doing to her.
• Many pro wrestlers often mock Sakura (such as when Rio called her a tramp/bimbo in episode 1) for being an idol wrestler, because they think she's all bark and no bite when in the ring. Needless to say, most of them prove to be right when fighting against her.
• Sakura's boobs are seen bouncing a few times in the anime during her fights, while her butt is mostly firm, though it has been shown to be squishy sometimes when held. Her thighs are also somewhat durable, as Jackal was able to stand on them during their match and dance on them effortlessly (despite Sakura crying out in pain during most of the performance).
• In episode 1, it is revealed that Sakura doesn't like revealing positions as she is wrestling. When she nearly loses in her match against Rio, she sheds a few tears when she is humiliated after Rio hung her upside down, exposing her breasts and thighs flauntingly, asking her to "show off in front of her little fans".
• Sakura's strongest & weakest point are her legs as seen when she does the Sakura special in fights, which either knock out opponents like Rio or inflict damage in other cases. However, it is also when she gets placed in Boston Crab positions as well as any position that involves her legs, they are shown to not be as durable, causing Sakura immense pain and suffering.
• When Sakura wrestles, many of her fans tend to get bored because they fear she will lose again. Some fans specifically watch Sakura when she is losing though, because they can take lewd photos of her and post them online.
• Many speculate that gropping Sakura's boobs or slapping her butt causes either body part to jiggle violently. Some also speculate that her thighs are extremely soft and silky, though no one has yet to test these theories, despite how easy it looks to do so when Sakura wears her wrestling attire.
