Rikidou Satou is a character from the My Hero Academia anime and manga.
A strong-looking student who can bake some mean desserts.
In the AWA fics, Rikidou is a student at the AWA Academy and is part of Class 6.
In the XP4 fics, Rikidou debuted in the XP4 Heroes Coalition - Mission Chronicles.
Appearance[]
He is a very muscular person with rather full lips and brown, spiky hair.
His costume consists of a yellow full-body suit that has two holes for his mouth and hair to come out. He wears white gloves and boots and a utility belt around his waist.
Personality[]
Rikidou has an interest in sweets and baking, the latter being a useful skill to have due to his Quirk.
He is surprisingly talented at making sweets, conquering his classmates with his food. The fact that Rikidou was caught off by this overly positive reaction suggests that he himself doesn't think much of his own abilities as a confectioner.

Rikidou is a member of the Heroes Coalitions and is part of the Flaming Honor. He also attends the Vanguard Academy as a student.
XP4 Heroes Coalition - Mission Chronicles[]
In Chapter 23, Rikidou, alongside his team, went on a mission at Eashton Lake in an old country town somewhere in Dave England where they took on a group of frog-like Emotionless. After defeating the creatures, they decided to stay in the place for a few more days.
XP4 Heroes Coalition - AKB0048[]
In Chapter 14, Rikidou took part in a successful mission at Diastar alongside his team.
In Chapter 15, Rikidou is present in the living area of the dormitory where Tsubasa Katagiri announced the mission at Lancastar.
In Chapter 20, Rikidou is present during a meeting instigated by Kazeyoshi Imai and Tsubasa Katagiri.
In Chapter 24, Rikidou witnessed Kazeyoshi Imai's announcement all across the universe.
In Chapter 28, Rikidou, alongside everyone, are seen approaching Kasumigastar and upon arriving at one city, they were confronted by Noboru Takizawa and his cohorts, demanding them to leave but they refuse. They then later witnessed the arrival of thousand of AKB-fans, much to their shock and awe.
In Chapter 29, Rikidou, alongside everyone, are seen backstage of the concert hall in a city somewhere Kasumigastar with a look of awe at the large number of crowd gathered for the concert and later witnessed the return of Atsuko Katagiri and the rest of the missing idols, and had a great time watching the performances afterwards. They then learned that Noboru Takizawa escaped which prompted Kazeyoshi Imai and Mace Wyndu to go after him.
In Chapter 32, Rikidou took part of paying respects for Mace Wyndu's death by attending his funeral via burial at sea in Atamistar before witnessing the arrival of a fleet of Dimensional Defense Union ships whom paid their respects for Mace by gifting him with a Heroes' Tribute.
In the Epilogue, Rikidou, alongside the heroes and the idols, is present in the AKB-exclusive space terminal in Akibastar where they said their goodbyes to the members of Unit W and Alpha Squadron. Afterwards, everyone decided to take a break for the rest of the day.
XP4 Heroes Coalition: Neo-City Diaries[]
In Chapter 114, Rikidou, alongside Kouji Kouda and Mezou Shouji, met up with Chelia Blendy, Mayl Sakurai, Nejire Hadou and Yai Ayanokoji at the courtyard of the Training Camp.
In Chapter 144, Rikidou is declared as an official member of the Flaming Honor.
Abilities[]
Gastronomic Talents: Rikidou has great talent in cooking, being able to prepare cakes and other types of sweets. This talent was probably developed due to his quirk needing sugar to be activated.
Quirk[]
Sugar Rush (Shugā Dōpu): Rikidou's Quirk allows him to increase his strength five-fold, for three minutes, by consuming 10 grams of sugar. For every additional 10 grams of sugar he ingests he extends the time of increased strength by another three minutes. However, when converting sugar into strength, his cognitive functions gradually drop, making him very sleepy afterward.

- Rikidou's initial design was quite similar to his current one, the only differences being bits of his hero costume and his lips.
- "Satou" is written with the first character of the word for "sugar" (satō) and the second character in the most common Japanese surname "Satou (Satō?), which are homonyms. His given name, "Rikidou" (Rikidō?) translates to "path to power".
