Konata Izumi is one of the main characters of the Lucky Star anime and manga.
A diminutive high schooler who's much more interested in video games, anime and manga than doing actual schoolwork. Her interest in popular culture is truly staggering.
In the AWA fics, Konata is a student at the AWA Academy and is part of Class 1.
In the XP4 fics, Konata debuted in the XP4 Heroes Coalition - AKB0048.
Appearance[]
Konata's appearance is rather child-like, as she has a petite physique, is shorter than all the Lucky Starcharacters except Yutaka Kobayakawa and Hikage Miyakawa, and is flat-chested, unlike most of her friends. She has long, shiny, blue hair that reaches her calves, and green sleepy eyes. Her appearance is very similar to her mother's, but she has messier hair, tanned skin, a large ahoge, a split lip that gives her a catlike smile, and a small mole under her eye, which she inherited from her father, Sōjirō Izumi.
Like her mother, Kanata Izumi, Konata is a female, has long blue hair, is very short for her age, has green sleepy eyes, and is also very skinny. Most of the time, Konata is depicted without a nose, just like most of the Lucky Starcharacters. Like all the Lucky Star characters, Konata has a certain face shape that is chubbier in the cheek area, abnormally large eyes that take up more than half of her face, messy hair, and messy bangs.
In a scene from Episode 7, Konata is seen looking a bit different, as she is seen with lip gloss, visible eyelashes, and a visible nose. Her voice also became more ladylike, as opposed to her usually lazy and "tomboyish-sounding" voice.
Personality[]
Konata Izumi is mischievous and sarcastic, but good-natured. She is very intelligent but lazy, which is why her grades are uneasy. She always teases her friends in a funny type of way, such as if they like someone. However, she is very good at pulling an "all-nighter", and unlike her friend, Kagami, she always crams for tests the night before they happen, instead of studying ahead.
She is very fond of anime, manga, and adult video games due to her father's influence. She refers to herself as a prankster and enjoys teasing her friends, especially Kagami, who always gets mad at her. Konata is an athletic girl who does not participate in any clubs out of the fear that she will miss watching her afternoon anime.

Konata is a member of the Heroes Coalitions and is part of the Super Sixth Squad as an honorary member. She also attends the Vanguard Academy as a student.
XP4 Heroes Coalition - AKB0048[]
In Chapter 6, Konata took part in a mission at Florastar and after a successful mission and meeting up with the Fairy Knights & the ALPHA SQUADRON, they made their way back to Akibastar. Later in the main city of Akibastar, Konata is seen playing games with Sonata Shinonome and Dan Kusou while Suzuko Kanzaki & Tsumiki Miniwa watches them at the lounge area inside the Great White Shark.
In Chapter 15, Konata is seen playing video games with Nagisa Shiota, Jean Kirstein and Dan Kusou on a green couch at the lounge area inside the Great White Shark while PaRappa the Rapper and Tsumiki Miniwa watches them from the back. She is later present in the living area of the dormitory where Tsubasa Katagiri announced the mission at Lancastar.
In Chapter 20, Konata is present during a meeting instigated by Kazeyoshi Imai and Tsubasa Katagiri.
In Chapter 24, Konata witnessed Kazeyoshi Imai's announcement all across the universe.
In Chapter 28, Konata, alongside everyone, are seen approaching Kasumigastar and upon arriving at one city, they were confronted by Noboru Takizawa and his cohorts, demanding them to leave but they refuse. They then later witnessed the arrival of thousand of AKB-fans, much to their shock and awe.
In Chapter 29, Konata, alongside everyone, are seen backstage of the concert hall in a city somewhere Kasumigastar with a look of awe at the large number of crowd gathered for the concert and later witnessed the return of Atsuko Katagiri and the rest of the missing idols, and had a great time watching the performances afterwards. They then learned that Noboru Takizawa escaped which prompted Kazeyoshi Imai and Mace Wyndu to go after him.
In Chapter 32, Konata took part of paying respects for Mace Wyndu's death by attending his funeral via burial at sea in Atamistar before witnessing the arrival of a fleet of Dimensional Defense Union ships whom paid their respects for Mace by gifting him with a Heroes' Tribute.
In the Epilogue, Konata, alongside the heroes and the idols, is present in the AKB-exclusive space terminal in Akibastar where they said their goodbyes to the members of Unit W and Alpha Squadron. Afterwards, everyone decided to take a break for the rest of the day.

History[]
In Chapter 1, Konata, alongside Kagami Hiiragi, Tsukasa Hiiragi and Miyuki Takara, are seen running away from a group of killer robots in an abandoned city when Ed the Lump arrives and saves them. They later then met up with the others before Jason the Watcher arrives to get them out of the city.
In Chapter 2, Konata, alongside the rest of the girls, are seen walking down the halls of the Watcher's Mansion where Jason the Watcher explained to them about the current situation of the multiverse and when the other girls decided to get some rest, Konata expressed to Jason of her desire to help but he told her that they'll discuss it on a later date which she agreed and she decided to get some rest afterwards.
In Chapter 9, Konata, alongside Kagami Hiiragi, Tsukasa Hiiragi and Miyuki Takara, met up with the Cul-de-Sac boys and the newcomers inside the grand base operation in Watcher's Realm, and after introducing themselves, everyone decided to get some rest.
In Chapter 10, Konata is present in a conference-like room inside the main base of the Multiverse Rescuers where Jason the Watcher explained to everyone the details about the next mission in the island of Elsaragozademontelban.
In Chapter 11, Konata, alongside Gingka Hagane and Tadakuni, were brought by Jason the Watcher to the training rooms inside the main base of the Multiverse Rescuers where the divine being explained to them about their training. After Konata and the others began their training, Jason decided to leave them alone for a while.
In Chapter 15, Konata, alongside Gingka Hagane, just finished their training and later joined Aelita Schaeffer, Daisuke "Davis" Motomiya, Dan Kusou, Danny Fenton, Jake Long, Kagami Hiiragi, Miyuki Takara, Tsukasa Hiiragi and Yutaka Kobayakawa in the lounge area somewhere the main base operation of the Multiverse Rescuers where they had a conversation about their training.
In Chapter 20, Konata, alongside Amity Blight, Eddy the Scammer, Gingka Hagane and Luz Noceda, are seen at a landscape somewhere in the island of Elsaragozademontelban where they saw Blaze the Cat, Dark Pit, Jacob Vallory, Laura Gauthier and Ranma Saotome being chased by a group of Unicorn Warriors and they decided to help them.
In Chapter 21, Konata, alongside Amity Blight, Gingka Hagane, Eddy the Scammer and Luz Noceda, are seen in a landscape somewhere in the island of Elsaragozademontelban where they aided Blaze the Cat, Dark Pit, Jacob Vallory, Laura Gauthier and Ranma Saotome in defeating the Unicorn-Warriors. After introducing themselves to each other and an explanation of the current events, everyone were about to make their way back to the bus when Lightning Flash Phosphora, Princess Zelda, Shadow the Hedgehog, Vector the Crocodile and Viridi made their presence.
In Chapter 22, Konata, alongside Amity Blight, Blaze the Cat, Dark Pit, Eddy the Scammer, Gingka Hagane, Jacob Vallory, Laura Gauthier, Luz Noceda and Ranma Saotome, introduced themselves to Lightning Flash Phosphora, Princess Zelda, Shadow the Hedgehog, Vector the Crocodile and Viridi, and after explaining the current situation, she witnessed Eddy and Viridi getting into an argument and then witnessing the former shooting the latter with the DeEvilizer. After being given details about the device, Konata and the others made their way back to the bus.
In Chapter 25, Konata is mentioned to have returned to the bus in the deep and narrow valley between two canyons in a desert that is located somewhere in the island of Elsaragozademontelban after witnessing Edd the Sockhead's gigantic holographic projection of himself.
