Kengo Usui is a character from the Maken-Ki! anime and manga.
Another first-year student, who enrolled at Tenbi for the same reason as Takeru: the girls. Because they're like-minded, they hit it off as friends almost immediately, with Usui often acting as "the brain" in their schemes to see the girls naked.
In the AWA fics, Kengo is a student at the AWA Academy.
In the XP4 fics, Kengo debuted in the XP4 Heroes Coalition - Mission Chronicles.
Appearance[]
Kengo has a dark-violet neck-length hair and has purple eyes. He is wearing a white dress shirt with green necktie, dark-blue trousers and brown shoes.
Personality[]
He has open feelings for Himegami and is supposedly in her fan club. Like Takeru, he loves to peeks on girls when they are in the shower, changing, etc. Much like Takeru, Kengo has a strong sense of justice. He sets Takeru straight, after seeing Inaho cry, figuring out what caused it. He calls Takeru a hypocrite for claiming to want to protect girls, yet making Inaho cry.

Kengo is a member of the Heroes Coalitions and is part of the Maken-Ki. He also attends the Vanguard Academy as a student.
XP4 Heroes Coalition - Mission Chronicles[]
In Chapter 18, Kengo, alongside the rest of the Maken-Ki, are seen chasing a criminal named Peeper Pete around the academy but when they cornered him, Pete unexepectedly taken them all down and is about to abduct them using the Dark Followers but fortunately for them, they were saved by the Dream Team and afterwards, everyone thanked the team and decided to have a discussion in the headmaster's office.
In Chapter 19, Kengo, alongside his fellow Maken-Ki and a few faculty members, are present inside the Tenbi Academy's headmaster office where they had a conversation with the members of the Dream Team about Peeper Pete's goals alongside forming an alliance between the two sides.
XP4 Heroes Coalition - Neo-City Diaries[]
In Chapter 65, Kengo alongside the rest of Maken-Ki are seen inside the joint room of the Disciplinary Committee and the Safety Patrol having a conversation with Kiyotaka Ishimaru, Cornelius Fillmore and Ingrid Third.
In Chapter 66, Kengo is present during Vegeta's serenade in the school grounds of the Vanguard Academy.
XP4 Heroes Coalition - AKB0048[]
In Chapter 25, Kengo is present in confronting the DES Soldiers in Neo-City.
In Chapter 29, Kengo is amongst the thousands of AKB-fans gathered around the concert hall in a city somewhere Kasumigastar and later witnessed the return of Atsuko Katagiri and the rest of the missing idols, and had a great time watching the performances afterwards.
In Chapter 32, Kengo took part of paying respects for Mace Wyndu's death by attending his funeral via burial at sea in Atamistar before witnessing the arrival of a fleet of Dimensional Defense Union ships whom paid their respects for Mace by gifting him with a Heroes' Tribute.
Abilities[]
- Point Man - Kengo has an internal type maken. His maken "Point Man" allows him to switch the places of an object he touches with that of another.
- Element Negation - an ability shared only by one other clone, Kengo has the ability to completely nullify any element he comes in contact with.
Trivia[]
- There's really nothing wrong with him, minus the fact he's a pervert with a one-track mind. Otherwise, Usui's reasonably good-looking, fairly intelligent, and not that bad a guy. So he can't help wondering how Takeru always lucks out with the girls, when he's nearly the exact opposite.
- After more than 60 chapters, Himegami finally provides Usui with a faint glimmer of hope that he just might have a chance with her after all.
