Karin Kokubu, also known as Burin, is the main protagonist of the Tonde Burin anime and manga.
Karin Kokubu was an ordinary 13-year-old schoolgirl in 7th grade who came across Tonrariano and would later become the superhero, Burin.
In the AWA fics, Karin is a student at the AWA Academy and is part of Class 6.
In the XP4 fics, Karin debuted in XP4 Heroes Coalition - Mission Chronicles.
Appearance[]
Karin has a curly orange hair tied in a high ponytail by a pink bow with a ring tail-like tip and a pair ringlet forelocks, and she has bright green eyes. She wears a red buttoned school uniform jacket with a white collar and brooch ribbon, a red high-waist miniskirt, white socks and black shoes.
As Burin, she has an appearance of a pink pig with a big snout while wearing a red & blue cape.
After collecting 108 pearls, Karin can transform into Burin in her human form. She wears a long-sleeved pink high-leg leotard over a light-pink tights, pink slip shoes and red & blue cape.
Personality[]
Karin has a crush on Koichi Mizuno who happens to like Burin. She has a hobby in painting. When in her Burin alias, she worries about her secret being found out by her father, her little brother, and Jimmy Matsumoto.

Karin is part of the Heroes Coalitions and is a member of the Strong Force. She also attends the Vanguard Academy.

In Chapter 19, Karin is present alongside her team, Strong Force, in a forest near the Tenbi Academy taking on a group of Emotionless and successfully defeating them.

In Chapter 25, Karin is present in confronting the DES Soldiers in Neo-City.
In Chapter 29, Karin is amongst the thousands of AKB-fans gathered around the concert hall in a city somewhere Kasumigastar and later witnessed the return of Atsuko Katagiri and the rest of the missing idols, and had a great time watching the performances afterwards.
In Chapter 32, Karin took part of paying respects for Mace Wyndu's death by attending his funeral via burial at sea in Atamistar before witnessing the arrival of a fleet of Dimensional Defense Union ships whom paid their respects for Mace by gifting him with a Heroes' Tribute.
Abilities[]
As Burin, she has the ability to fly and uses the Buu-Ribbon in battle, and is also capable of fighting in close combat.

Karin is revealed to be an Eccentric but the extent of her new ability is unknown.
