Appearance[]
Indigo has a light, amberish grey skin tone, she has a slicked backed dark-blue hair with cerulean & artic blue streaks, and has brilliant camboge eyes. She wears a purple school uniform with a white high collar and a crooked ribbon tie, a dark purple plaid skirt, socks and shoes. She wears an orange goggles on top of her head.
Personality[]
Indigo Zap has a similar personality to Rainbow Dash, in that she is extremely competitive and has an unbridled passion for winning, even by Crystal Prep Academy's standards. However, much like her schoolmates, she lacks sportsmanship and has a tendency to push others around, whether by accident or to gloat over her victories. When she believes Canterlot High School is cheating by using magic, she is willing to use peer pressure on Twilight Sparklein order to help their team level the playing field. She later reveals a compassionate side to herself by rushing in to save her rivals when her team's actions put both schools in danger.

In Chapter 53, Indigo, alongside Applejack Smith and Sunset Shimmer, walks out of the Duel Arena of the Training Camp after witnessing a six-man mock battle and later in the hallway, they came across Pinkie Pie, Rarity Belle and Raya Amanda where they discovered that Pinkie has a date. After Pinkie left, Luna Loud met up with them and learned about Hunter Isaac Rey's current predicament.
In Chapter 57, Indigo narrated her backstory in the first part of the narrative. She, alongside Aria Blaze, Dash Baxter and Scott Wallis, are seen hanging out in the Canterlot Park when the Rainbooms and the Shadowbolts made their presence. The Shadowbolts tried apologizing to her but she refused to accept it which led to her and Sour Sweet getting into a fight. Afterwards, she, alongside Aria, Dash and Scott, left the park.

In Chapter 8, Indigo made her presence in an alley somewhere in Herowood where she confronted Aria Blaze, she then beckoned Aria to join the Heroes Coalitions but Aria needed to be convinced, so she ask for a fight to which Indigo accepted.
In Chapter 12, Indigo, alongside Aria Blaze, is amongst the people who've attended the Royal Musical Gala at the Majestic Dome in Herowood when they met up with Bartlomiej Agbayani, Chicken, Dash Baxter, Kenji Harima, Leon Kuwata, Mondo Oowada and Scott Wallis, and the boys wonder why are they sporting black eyes to which the girls chuckled nervously.

In Chapter 11, Indigo, alongside Aria Blaze, are seen sleeping in the same room in a dorm somewhere in the Dormitory Village when she is woken up by a nightmare and her gasping woke up Aria Blaze. She then told Aria that she had a nightmare and Aria suggested that they talk about this with the president tomorrow.
XP4 Heroes Coalition - Canterlot High Nightmares[]
In Chapter 1, Indigo, alongside Duncan Nelson, Eddy Skipper McGee, Edwin "Ed" Horace Williams, Ichigo Kurosaki and Yoshika Miyafuji, arrives in the hallways of the Canterlot High School where Flash Sentry met up with them, and later witnessed Eddy getting tasered by Mystery Mint after he flirted with her, and then everyone went on their ways. Later in the music room, Indigo, alongside Eddy and Flash, are seen having a conversation when Green Lantern and Skyroar Rampage made their presence and retrieved some instruments.
In Chapter 2, Indigo, alongside Eddy Skipper McGee and Flash Sentry, arrives at the gymnasium of the Canterlot High School where they got attacked by a possessed Tennis Match but with their combined efforts, they managed to free Tennis from the black gem's influence before being confronted by Vice Principal Luna.
In Chapter 3, Indigo, alongside Eddy Skipper McGee, is mentioned to have informed the current situation to Vice Principal Luna. Later that day, Indigo regrouped with the others in the frontyard of the Canterlot High School and decided to call it a day by visiting the Sugarcube Corner.
In Chapter 4, Indigo, alongside Eddy Skipper McGee, are mentioned to have been accompanied by Flash Sentry in patrolling the halls of the Canterlot High School and is amongst the many who took part in saving Trixie Lulamoon from a hooded figure but to no avail.

In Chapter 6, Indigo is present in the courtyard of the Canterlot High School where Green Lantern and Skyroar Rampage revealed their plans on reviving Lady Adele using negative emotions. After some skirmish, Green and Skyroar fled, leaving everyone in disbelief and confused.
In Chapter 7, Indigo is present in the cafeteria of the Canterlot High School where everyone had a conversation about the recent events alongside the revelation that Flash Sentry is a Blessed. Later that night, Indigo took part in a party in the Sugarcube Corner when the Rainbooms made their presence.
In the Epilogue, Indigo met up with the members of the Rainbooms at the courtyard of the Canterlot High School where she offered the girls memberships in the Heroes Coalitions to which they accepted, she later then witnessed Eddy Skipper McGee flirting with Applejack Smith but after she rejected him, she watches Eddy run away crying.

In the Epilogue, Indigo, alongside the rest of the Bullies, reunited with Chicken upon his return to Neo-City but they were tasked in cleaning up the city for putting too much missing posters of Chicken. They were later introduced by Chicken to Crested Ibis and Suri Alpaca.

In Chapter 3, Indigo, alongside Ben Tennyson, Blonko Rook, Juniper Lee and Little Joey, arrives in the Junkyard Planet and while walking around, they found themselves getting pelted by trash courtesy of the New Age Avengers and Tsunayoshi Sawada but after clearing some misunderstanding, everyone are gathered inside the Central Command and after Ben fixed the starship, they made their leave and began to travel through the air.
In Chapter 4, Indigo, alongside the members of the New Age Avengers, Ben Tennyson, Blonko Rook, Juniper Lee, Little Joey and Tsunayoshi Sawada, are traversing the skies of the Junkyard Planet while inside the Central Command. Everyone then drops down to the ground and fought an army of robots, and after defeating their enemies, they finally found Gingka Hagane, Jimmy Neutron and SpongeBob SquarePants. Afterwards, everyone got back inside the Central Command and continued their journey.
In Chapter 5, Indigo, alongside the members of the New Age Avengers, Ben Tennyson, Blonko Rook, Gingka Hagane, Jimmy Neutron, Juniper Lee, Little Joey, SpongeBob SquarePants and Tsunayoshi Sawada, are traversing the skies of the Junkyard Planet while inside the Central Command and arrives at the Cardboard Tower. With the exception of Jimmy, everyone got down from the starship and fought an army of robots while Marcus "The Kane" McGee made his way inside the tower.

- Indigo Zap's hairstyle, goggles, and eye color closely resemble those of Lightning Dust in animation. The prototype of Indigo Zap's toy model also shares Lightning Dust's hair and skin color.
- On the My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Friendship Games DVD/Blu-ray audio commentary, Ishi Rudell mentions that Indigo Zap's role in the movie was originally going to be Lightning Dust, with Josh Haber adding that Spitfire was also considered, but felt she "wasn't quite mean enough". Indigo Zap was created due to the writers wanting a new character.
