Usagi Tsukino is the main protagonist of the Sailor Moon anime and manga.

Usagi is an ordinary junior high school student who discovers one day, thanks to the appearance of her mentor mascot Luna, that she is a warrior destined to protect Earth from the evils that threaten to destroy it. It is later revealed that she is the reincarnation of Princess Serenity from centuries past, and that she will one day become Neo-Queen Serenity and rule the world. Though initially frightened by this responsibility, Usagi grows over the course of the series from a spoiled crybaby unsure of herself and her abilities into a brave fighter for love and justice (though she never quite gives up her goofy ways).

In the AWA fics, Usagi is a student at the AWA Academy and is part of Class 1.

In the XP4 fics, Usagi debuted in the XP4 Heroes Coalition - Mission Chronicles.

In the TWA fics, Usagi is one of the major characters and is a member of the Honor Fighting Force.

Appearance[]

Usagi is a young woman who has a slim figure and pale skin. She has big sky blue eyes, and long, golden blonde hair kept parted in the center and typically tied into two buns/pigtails, odango hairstyle. She is described as being one of the shortest Senshi, said to be standing at 4'11" (possibly 5'0" or a bit taller in later volumes).

Usagi wears a white sailor uniform top with blue collar and red ribbons on the chest and back, a dangerously blue mini skirt, white gloves and red boots in battle.

Personality[]

She was a bit selfish, and very much a crybaby, and was lazy, clumsy, and an academic underachiever. She was also a terrible cook, as shown several times during the series. She could be jealous and possessive of Mamoru, as shown in episode 136. However, it was shown that she cared very deeply for her friends and family.

She was very trusting, and believed that everyone had a better nature; this could be both a character strength and a character flaw at times. She did not believe in killing innocent humans, even when they had been transformed into vicious monsters, and always sought ways to heal them instead.

Over the course of the series, Usagi matured a great deal, and even though she was still prone to some childish behavior and bouts of silliness, she became a capable young woman.

XP4 Fanfics[]

Usagi is part of the Heroes Coalitions and is the leader of the Sailor Senshis. She also attends the Vanguard Academy as a student.

XP4 Heroes Coalition - Mission Chronicles[]

In Chapter 22, Usagi, alongside Ami Mizuno, Makoto Kino and Rei Hino, are seen taking on a number of Emotionless in a park somewhere in Juban when Hotaru Tomoe, Haruka Tenou, Michiru Kaiou and Setsuna Meiou arrives to aid them. They then confronted Alibaba whom wants to kidnap Usagi when Clarity Dresden, Cynthia, Guy Cecil, Pedro Penduko and Rook Blonko arrives, forcing Alibaba to retreat as both sides fought together and managed to eliminate every Emotionless in sight. After the battle, each sides introduced themselves to each before having a discussion somewhere in private.

XP4 Heroes Coalition - Neo-City Diaries[]

In Chapter 71, Usagi, alongside Ami Mizuno, Rei Hino and Makoto Kino, are seen hanging out at the Vanguard Academy's footsteps when Rook Blonko walks towards them and told them about Minako Aino's current location, much to their shock and relief.

XP4 Heroes Coalition - AKB0048[]

In Chapter 25, Usagi is present in confronting the DES Soldiers in Neo-City.

In Chapter 29, Usagi is amongst the thousands of AKB-fans gathered around the concert hall in a city somewhere Kasumigastar and later witnessed the return of Atsuko Katagiri and the rest of the missing idols, and had a great time watching the performances afterwards.

In Chapter 32, Usagi took part of paying respects for Mace Wyndu's death by attending his funeral via burial at sea in Atamistar before witnessing the arrival of a fleet of Dimensional Defense Union ships whom paid their respects for Mace by gifting him with a Heroes' Tribute.

Abilities[]

Being the possessor of the Legendary Silver Crystal, Usagi is able to perform amazing feats, and as story goes, she grows even stronger than before, most notoriously at the final arc.

In the Dark Kingdom Arc, Act 5, she is shown being able to see, through dreams, past life memories and in the Black Moon Arc, Act 21, she is able to foresee future events as well. It's even stated by Artemis in the musicals, that her future predictions never fail. It's proven quite true when she predicted Black Lady's outcome and the appearance of the brainwashed Endymion by dreaming they kissing each other, while unconscious, and when she dreamed about a strange woman in the Stars Arc. The Crystal version shows this ability more often than the manga.

She is also able to teleport using the Moon Stick, in her civilian form, though it is shown only once at Act 13, when she teleported, along with Tuxedo Mask, to the Moon Kingdom.

In the Infinty Arc, after gaining a new brooch, she is granted the ability to sense evil's approach through her Silver Crystal inside, and in the Stars Arc, she shows two additional powers. She is able to suppress and distort her own memories, replacing by false ones. This ability manifested when Usagi is too shocked by the deaths of her beloved ones, and in the Act 53, Stars 4, she admits that she used it because she refused to believe in her dearest ones' deaths. She also has an insurmountable healing power, capable to restore an entire place to its' perfect state, though with Chibi Chibi's assistance, as shown her first battle against Sailor Galaxia in her civilian form in the Act 55, Stars 6.
