Toadsworth is a character from the Mario games franchise.

Peach's aged steward and right-hand fungus. He often appears as a supporting character, providing useful tips.

In the AWA fics, Toadsworth is part of the AWA as a staff member.

In the XP4 fics, Toadsworth debuted in XP4 Heroes of the Multiverse - All-Star Adventures.

Appearance[]

Toadsworth is portrayed as an elderly Toad with a tan complexion and a beige cap with brown spots. He has a puffy, white mustache, although if the player looks in a locker in Mario Golf: Advance Tour, they find a fake mustache labeled "Toadsworth", jokingly implying that his facial hair is fake. Like other Toads, Toadsworth is short and stout. Despite his age, he is quite energetic. He also speaks with a southern English accent.

Wearing a light purple vest with gold buttons that have Toad emblems on them. Layered on top of the vest is a purple, sleeveless jacket (or vest) that hangs down like a tuxedo with gold trim. Underneath he wears white bottoms and brown, padded booties. He also wears small, black glasses and a red bow-tie. He walks around using a stick-like cane that has a brown mushroom cap on top with beige spots on it.

Personality[]

Toadsworth is a kind character who tries his best to help others, particularly Princess Peach, whom he cares for very deeply, having had a hand in raising her since she was a baby. Toadsworth constantly worries about Peach when she has been kidnapped by Bowser, and while Toadsworth is quick to panic and flee with the other Toads when danger arises, he sometimes tries to stay and protect the princess or offer advice to the Mario Bros. Although kind overall, he does have his limits, as after the Shroob threat was over, he privately admits he's glad that his younger counterpart will be off his back, although denies claiming that when Toadsworth the Younger expresses suspicion of his true feelings toward him.

XP4 Fanfics[]

Toadsworth works as an instructor at the Vanguard Academy.

XP4 Heroes of the Multiverse - All-Star Adventures[]

In Chapter 7, Toadsworth alongside Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi and Donkey Kong gathered at the courtyard of Princess Peach's castle when The Unlikely Heroes met up with them. Toadsworth and the others told them when some strange figures arrives and kidnapped Princess Peach, Princess Daisy and Rosalina. As everyone decided to create a plan to save them, Toadsworth took notice of Darius Greg staring at him and realized that he wants to eat him but fortunately for him, Kanako Yasaka calls out Darius for it.

In Chapter 8, Toadsworth stayed behind Peach's castle while everyone confronted Bowser in his dominion.

In Chapter 9, Toadsworth found himself nearly cooked alive by Darius Greg but Kanako Yasaka saved him. And when Darius left to find other Toads to cook and eat, Toadsworth and Kanako quickly ran towards Darius to stop him.

In Chapter 11, Toadsworth alongside everyone are seen at Princess Peach's castle and is mourning for Kennedy "Kenny" MacIntosh's death and is later surprised to see Kenny alive in his spirit form. And while not stated, Toadsworth will be accompanying Princess Peach alongside Princess Daisy and Rosalina as the trio of females plans to attend the Vanguard Academy for safety measures.

XP4 Heroes Coalition - Neo-City Diaries[]

In Chapter 66, Toadsworth is present when President Mario Martinez is showing Princess Peach, Princess Daisy and Rosalina around the Vanguard Academy. He was then offered to become a teacher at the academy which he happily accepted.

XP4 Heroes Coalition - AKB0048[]

In Chapter 29, Toadsworth is amongst the thousands of AKB-fans gathered around the concert hall in a city somewhere Kasumigastar and later witnessed the return of Atsuko Katagiri and the rest of the missing idols, and had a great time watching the performances afterwards.

In Chapter 32, Toadsworth took part of paying respects for Mace Wyndu's death by attending his funeral via burial at sea in Atamistar before witnessing the arrival of a fleet of Dimensional Defense Union ships whom paid their respects for Mace by gifting him with a Heroes' Tribute.

Abilities[]

Toadsworth's cane appears to be a magical stick, as in New Super Mario Bros., he could create ? Blocks with it. In addition, he is shown to be able to drive in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, but he has yet to be seen participating in a kart race. He is also skilled at playing mahjong, as seen in Yakuman DS, where he is the highest ranked opponent.

Trivia[]

Toadsworth makes his first appearance in Super Mario Sunshine where he accompanied Mario, Princess Peach, and a bunch of Toads to Isle Delfino for a vacation. At first he simply accompanies the Princess around the island. After she is kidnapped by Shadow Mario, he can be found fretting and worrying in various locations. After she is rescued he returned with the rest of the vacationers to the Mushroom Kingdom.
