Nikka "Nipa" Edvardine Katajainen is one of the main characters from the Brave Witches anime and manga.

Nipa is a member of the Suomus Air Force and is part of the same squadron as her friend Eila. She is a bit of a tomboy and a bit guileless at times. She is known for her really bad luck which has led to her crashing numerous Striker Units in the past to the point where she is pulled out of the front-lines to operate on the base. That being said, she still has the numbers to prove that she is ace material and her accidents haven't done harm to anyone else. Her Striker Unit is based on Messerschmitt BF109K-4 and she uses an MG42 machine gun.

In the AWA fics, Nipa is a student at the AWA Academy.

In the XP4 fics, Nipa debuted in the XP4 Heroes Coalition - Brave Witches.

Appearance[]

Nikka had a short, boyish blonde hair and blue eyes. She wears a light-blue high-collar sweater jacket with linings, wool at the ends and a belt bag, white pantyhose and white boots.

Personality[]

Nikka is something of a tomboy, bearing a boyish appearance and often unladylike manner. She was once something of a delinquent, which has since eased somewhat with the influence of her close friends such as Eila and Hanna Wind. She possesses a very exacting personality which usually splits any situation into right or wrong. While not stupid, she is relatively guileless and often distracted, making her a popular subject for Eila's pranks.

Under the 502nd, she has found a similar foil/best friend in Aleksandra I. Pokryshkin, whos fussiness and nagging (a talented mechanic, its often Aleksandra working on Nikka's broken units) tends to keep Nikka's carelessness in check.

XP4 Fanfics[]

Nipa is a member of the Heroes Coalitions and is part of the 502nd Joint Fighter Wing. She also attends the Vanguard Academy as a student.
