Kevin is a character from the Ed, Edd n Eddy series.

An athletic kid who is usually seen riding on or working on his bike, playing sports, or trying to impress Nazz. He thinks the Eds are a bunch of "dorks", and isn't afraid to make his opinion of them known at least once an episode. Other than that, he seems to be the most realistic kid in the neighborhood when compared to everyone else.

In the XP4 fics, Kevin, known as Kevin William Dorn, debuted in the XP4 Heroes Coalition: Neo-City Diaries.

In the AWA fics, Kevin is a student at the AWA Academy.

In the DAMNiverse fics, Kevin debuted in DAMNiverse! Of Eds and Magic.

Appearance[]

Kevin wears a long-sleeved lime green shirt, black shorts/shoes and a red baseball hat with a black peak backwards, in winter he wears an orange sweater (like Rolf's) and has light peach skin, light green eyes, and a red/orange tongue (magenta on occasions for websites, games and artwork). Without his hat, he appears to have very little hair on his head, with the exception of three long strands similar to Eddy or Edd.

Personality[]

Kevin is the typical popular, athletic jock that all the kids aspire to be. He is the "cool" person in the group, laid back and slightly aloof. Kevin is most popular for the many athletic achievements accomplished on his beloved bike (and the occasional skateboard trick), and also for his skill in sports. He is especially respected by the nonathletic children, such as Jimmy. The motive behind his constant display of athletic prowess is that he is a tremendous show-off, even more so than Eddy. Kevin thrives on the constant attention and admiration that he earns. He brags about his father's job at the Jawbreaker factory, thus earning the respect (coupled with envy in Eddy's case) of the other kids.

Kevin adores his bike a lot. It is his most prized and cherished possession, and he is most often seen riding it or making repairs to it. He is most dangerous when someone endangers it in any way. He may care just a little too much about it, as seen in Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show, when he was more worried about the well being of his bike than the well being of Nazz.

Kevin is also very cocky, cynical and can be a bully - mostly to the Eds, but sometimes also to Jonny and Jimmy. Even Rolf has fallen victim to Kevin's mocking and sarcastic attitude on occasion, even though Rolf is his good friend. One incident prompted Rolf to ask, "Why must you mock us at every turn?" Despite his bullying nature, Kevin is typically the first to assume the leader role in times of great distress for the entire Cul-De-Sac, and in doing so will do his best to look out for all the children. Despite this however, his patience is easily worn out when any plans formulated by the children inevitably fall apart.

He despises the Eds to the point of distraction and even to the point of paranoia. He can be friendly to Edd and he tolerates Ed, but he holds nothing but contempt towards Eddy and his constant schemes and hunger for attention. Kevin is most happy when he has the opportunity to utterly humiliate Eddy, but when you look at the big picture, they are very similar – both have high ambitions, they often show off, and both feel the need to be in charge.

There are only two things that frighten Kevin – needles, and Eddy's Brother. Upon learning it is booster shot day at school, Kevin goes pale and faints, falling off his chair in the process. Relishing the incident, Eddy exploits Kevin's terror, chasing him around the school with a gargantuan "needle" made from a trash can, a golf club, and other items. This fails when Edd, who had no idea of Eddy's plan, accidentally let slip that Kevin wasn't supposed to have a shot that day. The wrath of Kevin then rains down accordingly. It is unknown if his fear is cured permanently, or just for this one episode.

Kevin is also scared of Eddy's brother. It is unknown if Kevin ever met him before the movie; rumors about him are enough to scare Kevin. This phobia also seems to be cured at the end of Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show, when Kevin faces off with Eddy's brother after the older boy severely injures Eddy.

Another thing that makes Kevin uneasy is talking "One on one" with Nazz. From "Pop Goes the Ed" where he melted at the sight of her in a bathing suit, to him nervous and sweating in "Boys Will Be Eds." This extends to his awkwardness and unwillingness to dance with her in "May I have this Ed?" and ignoring multiple signs that Nazz could like him in the Big Picture Show. Ironically, Nazz can often be one of the greatest thorns in Kevin's side, as she will often rope him into tasks he'd rather not involve himself with, such as searching for Sarah's lost Diary in "For Your Ed Only."

It's obvious that Kevin doesn't have the intestinal fortitude to openly acknowledge his phobias (thus risking his popularity in the process); it becomes apparent that in some way Kevin fears for his position as the popular kid.

Kevin also has three long orange hairs, sticking out from his hat. Eddy often likes to make fun of these, as well as his unusual-looking chin, prompting names like "Shovel Chin" or "Boxhead" from Eddy.

Kevin has only be shown to be grounded once. In "A Case of Ed," it appeared that Kevin had been grounded by his parents for whatever reason. While Kevin had been confined to his house and can't get out, Eddy and Ed torture Kevin as much as they can to the point of milking what it's worth.

In Chapter 120, Kevin, alongside Ian Valentine, arrives in the grounds of the Training Camp.

In Chapter 121, Kevin is present in the main entrance hall of the Training Camp where Ian Valentine is making a scene when Eddward "Double D, Edd" Marion Smith & Minna-Dietlinde Wilcke made their presence, he then witnessed Ian getting kicked in the nuts by Taiga Aisaka. Later, Kevin witnessed Ian getting beaten-up by the members of the Triumph Division & Eric Draven and afterwards, he is then led by Penelope von Steiner to the reception area.

In Chapter 127, Kevin is present inside the lounge area of the Training Camp where he witnessed Lukz Ramzyse and Haruhiko Ichijou having a game of checkers, and later with Joey Hollard.

The Multiverse Adventures While Riding On A Bus[]

Kevin the Jock is one of the co-founders of the Multiverse Rescuers.

History[]

In the Prologue, Kevin, alongside Ed the Lump, Edd the Sockhead, Eddy the Scammer and Rolf the Son of Shepherd, are seen inside Double D's home watching TV when they found themselves falling into a deep abyss but were rescued by Jason the Watcher. After Jason explained to them his status as a Watcher, the current situation of the multiverse and his tasks to rescue people who caught by the chaos, Jason then asked for the boys' for their assistance and they agreed to help him. The boys then decided to train in a special realm behind a platinum-colored door however instead of training for three years(three hours from the outside), they've trained for twelve hours which give them twelve years of battle experience.

In Chapter 1, Kevin, alongside Rolf the Son of Shepherd, saved Misao Kusakabe, Ayano Minegishi and Patricia Martin off-screen in an abandoned city. They then met up with the others before Jason the Watcher arrives to get them out of the city.

In Chapter 2, Kevin, alongside Ed the Lump, Edd the Sockhead, Eddy the Scammer and Rolf the son of Shepherd, are seen in the bus area where Eddy and Ed are arguing over the wheel. Later, Kevin and the boys are seen in an unnamed world searching for lost people and after separating from Edd & Rolf, Kevin, Eddy & Ed came across Luz Noceda, Amity Blight, Undine Wells and Heartful Punch fighting a group of spider-like monkeys before proceeding to help them.

In Chapter 3, Kevin, alongside Ed the Lump and Eddy the Scammer, aided Luz Noceda, Amity Blight, Undine Wells and Heartful Punch in fighting a group of spider-like monkeys and managed to drive the creatures to retreat. Afterwards, they introduced themselves to each other and decided to search together.

In Chapter 4, Kevin, alongside Eddy the Scammer, Ed the Lump, Luz Noceda, Amity Blight, Undine Wells and Heartful Punch, came out from a forest and came across the Goblin Slayer, Musashi the Brave Fencer, Tadakuni, Ryuuko Matoi and Ichigo Momomiya in a middle of a train track.

In Chapter 5, Kevin, alongside Ed the Lump, Eddy the Scammer, Luz Noceda, Amity Blight, Undine Wells, Heartful Punch, the Goblin Slayer, Musashi the Brave Fencer, Tadakuni, Ryuuko Matoi and Ichigo Momomiya, decided to travel together and upon arriving in an area filled with train cars, they came across a number of ninja-monkeys and attacked them. After defeating the ninja-monkeys, Edd the Sockhead, Rolf the Son of Shepherd, Youji Itami, Rex Salazar, Juugo Yama and Reisen Udongein Inaba met up with them and afterwards, everyone had a discussion and agreed with Edd's idea of luring people to their location.

In Chapter 6, Kevin, alongside everyone, witnessed Ed the Lump and Rolf the Son of Shepherd finished building a fort, much to their awe and disbelief. After taking shelter inside the fort, Kevin, alongside Juugo Yama, Rex Salazar and Youji Itami, took down the creatures coming towards their fort, he then witnessed Edd the Sockhead creating a gigantic holographic projection of himself while calling everyone to their fort.

In Chapter 8, Kevin, alongside the rest, are seen gathered inside the fort when Naruto Uzumaki's group, Yuna's group, Yami Sukehiro and Mereoleona Vermillion arrives in the area and got inside the fort. After introducing themselves to each other, they witnessed the arrival of a large mysterious creature and everyone decided to flee by getting inside the multiverse-travelling bus and then escaping through a portal.

In Chapter 9, Kevin, alongside everyone, are seen crammed inside the bus after escaping the dangerous world before proceeding to enter the backdoor of the bus which led them to the rather grand base operation in the Watchers' Realm, much to their awe. After meeting with Konata Izumi, Tsukasa Hiiragi, Kagami Hiiragi and Miyuki Takara, they all decided to get some rest.

In Chapter 10, Kevin is present in a conference-like room inside the main base of the Multiverse Rescuers where Jason the Watcher explained to everyone the details about the next mission in the island of Elsaragozademontelban.

In Chapter 15, Kevin, alongside Goblin Slayer, Musashi the Brave Fencer and Youji Itami, are seen walking on path of a red-colored forest somewhere in the island of Elsaragozademontelban while leading Hikari Yagami, Nami, Rukia Kuchiki, Runo Misaki and Yumi Ishiyama forward when they came across a group of greaser-dressed monkeys and everyone responded by getting themselves ready for a fight.

In Chapter 16, Kevin, alongside Goblin Slayer, Musashi the Brave Fencer, Nami, Rukia Kuchiki and Youji Itami, fought a group of greaser-monkeys and managed to defeat them before regrouping with Hikari Yagami, Runo Misaki and Yumi Ishiyama. After leaving the red-colored forest, they arrived at a large plain where they met up with Alice Gehabich, Ken Ichijouji, Mereoleona Vermillion, Robin Nico, William Dunbar, Yami Sukehiro and Yasutora "Chad" Sado by the bus. When a number of greaser-monkeys arrives, Kevin took part in fighting these creatures and then coming out victorious.

In Chapter 19, Kevin is seen in a flashback where Jason the Watcher explained to him about the DeEvilizer.

In Chapter 24, Kevin, alongside Erza Scarlet, Gajeel Redfox, Happy, Jinbe, Naoto Shirogane, Naruto Uzumaki, Natsu Dragneel, Reisen Udongein Inaba, Youji Itami and Yousuke Hanamura, are seen hidden on top of a very tall tree in the desert area somewhere in the island of Elsaragozademontelban. After concluding their conversations, everyone decided to move out when they came across a group of speedo-wearing unicorn warriors. After defeating the creatures, he told everyone that Edd the Sockheard is about to do something.

In Chapter 25, Kevin is mentioned to have returned to the bus in the deep and narrow valley between two canyons in a desert that is located somewhere in the island of Elsaragozademontelban after witnessing Edd the Sockhead's gigantic holographic projection of himself.

DreamTheater Intermix: The World Within[]

Kevin, going by the full name of Kevin Dorscherr, is a student in the City Saints Academy.

Biography[]

In Chapter 1, Kevin is mentioned by Tenma Daytona Romeoford in the prologue.

In Chapter 2, Kevin, alongside Tenma Daytona Romeoford and the rest of the Cul-De-Sac kids, arrives at their destination and is bewildered at the sight of the 'school' that they're supposed to attend. After meeting Pinkie Pie and getting themselves registered, they went inside the 'school' and were greeted by the sight of a large city within, much to their shock and bewilderment.

In Chapter 3, Kevin, alongside Tenma Daytona Romeoford and the rest of the Cul-De-Sac kids, are being shown around the City Saints Academy by Pinkie Pie, much to his awe and shock where he overreacted by hanging himself on a lamppost with a noose around his neck. Later that day, Kevin, alongside Pinkie, Tenma and the Cul-De-Sac kids, arrives in a diner called Pop's Moon Palace where they met Fred Flintstone, Honoka Kousaka, Umi Sonoda and Kotori Minami where he witnessed Eddy Skipper McGee flirting with Umi and she responded by slapping Eddy really hard, much to everyone's amusement.

In Chapter 4, Kevin, alongside Pinkie Pie, Tenma Daytona Romeford and the Cul-De-Sac kids, decided to have lunch inside Pop's Moon Palace where Pops Drake asked for their orders. Afterwards, they left the diner and proceeds the tour, and when everything concluded, Pinkie is seen leading Tenma and Cul-De-Sac kids to their living quarters when she revealed that the City Saints Academy is getting new students everyday, much to Tenma and the Cul-De-Sac kids' shock and disbelief.

In Chapter 5, Kevin, alongside Pinkie Pie, Tenma Daytona Romeoford and the Cul-De-Sac kids, arrives at the Corona House where Shizuka Kasagi met up with them. After Pinkie left, Shizuka led them inside and handed them their room numbers. He then made his way to his room on the first floor.

In Chapter 6, Kevin is present at the rooftop party of the Corona House where he, Eddward "Edd & Double D" Marion Vicente and Nazz Van Bartonschmeer met up with Tenma Daytona Romeoford and Edwin "Ed" Horace Hall, and later meeting up with Pinkie Pie, Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle.

In Chapter 8, Kevin is seen having a conversation with Dash Baxter, Kwan Phan and Rudolph "Lightning" Jackson in the dining area of the first floor. He then took notice of the arrival of Tenma Daytona Romeoford, Eddward "Edd & Double D" Marion Vicente, Edwin "Ed" Horace Hall, Rolf Von Olsson and Shizuka Kasagi in the room, and later witnessed Eric Cartman demanding the identity of the noise maker to which Shizuka declined.

In Chapter 13, Kevin is mentioned by Eddward "Edd & Double D" Marion Vicente.

In Chapter 21, Kevin is seen having a conversation with Kenji Harima, Leon Kuwata and Mondo Oowoda in the cafeteria of the Corona House.

In Chapter 2, Kevin, alongside the rest of the Cul-de-Sac Kids and the Kanker Sisters, are seen running around the lane in the Peach Creek, Cul-de-sac when a number of robots invaded their area.

Kevin is athletic and is very good at sports, is crafty with his hands, is a skilled mechanic, Kevin is normally strong but not on Ed and Rolf's level.

Trivia[]

Kevin shares traits with each of the Eds:
- His chin resembles Edd's chin.
- His three hairs resemble Eddy's three hairs.
- Under his hat, his hair is like Ed's.
It's shown in a flashback at the Swimming Hole that he once had long hair.
Kevin's voice is portrayed by Kathleen Barr, the same voice actress as Marie. This makes Kevin the only male character to be voiced by a woman.
Kevin likes to look at "Bikini Babes" magazines like most of the other males in the Cul-de-Sac.
Eddy has always wanted Kevin to be a monkey. This is first revealed in "Look Into My Eds" when Eddy hypnotizes Kevin and tells him "You will be what I have always wanted you to be!" then when Eddy snapped his fingers Kevin became a monkey. Also in "Once Upon an Ed" where the 3 Eds all got stuck in Jonny's Wall, Eddy's version of the story shows Kevin as a monkey.
In "A Case of Ed", it's shown that Kevin has a pet goldfish in his room.
Kevin is revealed to be extremely scared of Eddy's Brother in "Ed... Pass it On..." and at the beginning of Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show but while seeing Eddy constantly being bullied by his brother he gets over his fear of him and helps Eddy.
- Kevin is also extremely scared of needles, which was once used to Ed and Eddy's advantage in "This Won't Hurt an Ed."
Up until Season 3, Kevin never removed his hat, even when he was taking a bath.
Kevin seems to be very obsessed with his bike, as he is often seen riding it around the Cul-de-Sac. His affection is especially seen in Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show, expressing more care and worry for it than for Nazz.
Kevin was one of the three kids that didn't get affected by the side effects of the Boomerang in "Hand Me Down Ed."
The following can make Kevin angry, aggressive, and or crazy:
- When he has not said "Dork!" to Eddy in a long time (as seen in "All Eds Are Off")
- When someone/something steals and/or harms his bike (as seen in "Shoo Ed," "Boys Will Be Eds,""My Fair Ed," "The Luck of the Ed," "Mission Ed-Possible," and Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show).
- When he believes the Eds are out to get him (as seen in "See No Ed" and "This Won't Hurt an Ed").
- When the Eds continuously annoy him and he can't do anything about it (as seen in "A Case of Ed"and "All Eds Are Off").
Kevin's hat size is medium and has his name written on it. This was revealed in "One of Those Eds."
His student ID number, as seen in "This Won't Hurt an Ed," is 00821.
Kevin is the only character in the whole series who has never cried (not including Plank or Eddy's Brother).
Kevin is the only character in the show who was never seen in pajamas at night.
He is the only character who has a red/orange tongue while everyone else's tongues are blue (Ed and Nazz), green (Edd, Eddy and Jonny), purple (Rolf, Jimmy and Sarah) and pink (the Kankers).
- Although in Season 1, Kevin wasn't the only character to have his tongue as a different color from everyone else, Eddy's tongue was previously yellow.
He is the only character to have swirl-like designs on his ears while everyone else has either X's or M's.
He and Edd (not including Eddy's Brother) are the only characters that are seen wearing their hats mostly throughout the series.
According to this video, Kevin has spoken the word "dorks" a near total of 163 times throughout the series.
