Darren Cross is a character from the XP4 Series of Fanfics.
Darren is a former Rune Knight from Fiore and comes from a family of well-known knights. He is often regarded as a black sheep from the family due to his less successful career as a knight.
Darren debuted in the XP4 Heroes Coalition - Neo-City Diaries.
Background[]
Darren originates from Fiore and is a former Rune Knight. He came from a family of well-known knights, both of his father and mother are high-ranking knights while his nine sisters are members of the Mermaid Heel Guild.
Darren is considered to be a wasted potential, he only works as a station guard and a messenger, a type of work which is a disgrace to his father's eyes.
He later left Fiore after getting dismissed as a knight for disobeying orders and later joins the Heroes Coalitions as a Hero.
Appearance[]
Darren has a pink, spiky hair, dark eyes and a pink goatee. He usually wears a pink mechanic's jumpsuit and pink boots.
In battle, Darren wears a pink scarf wrapped around his neck. He wears a pink long-sleeve muscle shirt underneath a pink body armor, shoulder armors and pink arm gauntlets, three pink belts strapped around his waist with a pink sash dangling on the left side, pink pants, pink knee armor pads, pink shin guards and pink boots.

Darren is a member of the Heroes Coalitions and is the leader of the Cross Guards. He also attends Vanguard Academy as a student.
XP4 Heroes Coalition - Neo-City Diaries[]
In Chapter 21, Darren met up with Marcus "The Kane" McGee in the lobby area of the Training Camp and quickly become fast buddies. Later in the training area, Darren and Marcus had an awesome spar, much to everyone's awe.
In Chapter 25, Darren attended a Welcoming Party at the AniManga Cafe in Neo-City where he is seen alongside Dan Mandel, Chris Pearson and Chad Mordetzky at one table being served by Air.
In Chapter 28, Darren and Ram met up with Marcus "The Kane" McGee and Rem in the halls of one dormitory of the Dormitory Village, and the boys found themselves getting annoyed by the twins' snide remarks at them. Later that day at the Training Facility of Neo-City, Darren took part of the a rope climbing exercise which later ended up in chaos.
In Chapter 30, Darren, alongside Marcus "The Kane" McGee, Ram and Rem, are seen walking in the streets of Neo-City when they came across an injured Hacka Doll No. 3. When Marcus proceeds to help Hacka Doll No. 3 whom is happy for the help, Darren sported a horrified expression and wondered if Marcus and twins are even aware that Hacka Doll No. 3 is a boy.
In Chapter 31, Darren is present inside the auditorium of the Training Camp where he witnessed the formation of the New Age Avengers.
In Chapter 40, Darren, alongside Marcus "The Kane" McGee, are seen running around the courtyard of the Training Camp while it was raining. Later on, Darren, alongside Marcus, are revealed to have caught cold and are seen inside the Sick Bay where Ram and Rem are taking care of them when Mikan Tsumiki arrives with a giant syringe which freaks them out.
In Chapter 41, Darren, alongside Emilia, Marcus "The Kane" McGee, Ram, Rem and Subaru Natsuki, are seen inside the Sick Bay of the Training Camp when Eddy Skipper McGee made his return and everyone noticed that something is different from him.
In Chapter 45, Darren is present inside the auditorium of the Training Camp where he witnessed the formation of Team Idolo.
In Chapter 50, Darren, alongside Chad Mordetzky, Eddy Skipper McGee and Marcus "The Kane" McGee, came out from the Gaming Room while having a conversation of him being labeled as a pervert, much to his dismay.
In Chapter 55, Darren shared a small part of his history. Later on, he found himself standing inside the Duel Arena of the Training Camp where he is about to go head-to-head with Stella Vermillion after he had unintentionally touched her chest. Darren and Stella had quite the battle, and even though she had the upper hand, he still pulled through and won. Afterwards, Ikki Kurogane came over and praised Darren for his win before picking up Stella and carried her away. This left Darren with some time to reflect on his desire to settle the score with his dad.
In Chapter 58, Darren is present inside the AniManga Cafe where he witnessed the performance of Flash Sentry, Marshmello and Pinkie Pie.
XP4 Heroes Coalition - Welcome to Herowood[]
In Chapter 7, Darren, alongside Donnel Tinhead, Gundam Tanaka, Ichigo Momomiya and Ichika Orimura, are seen inside the Bruno's Bar of Herowood where they cheered for Akame Murasame and Akane Owari whom are having an eating contest. He then witnessed the performances of Koito Minase & Sayaka Maizono, Franchouchou and Muse on stage, and later found themselves drenched in water when Natsu Dragneel accidentally activated the sprinklers by breathing out some flames.
In the Epilogue, Darren, alongside Marcus "The Kane" McGee, Ram and Rem, are seen in the courtyard of the Training Camp when he sneezes loudly.
Personality[]
Darren is a cheerful, genre-savvy and is a person eager to battle. Darren can be childish at times and can be a bit snarky. Due to some mishaps, Darren has been labeled as a pervert much to his dismay.
Due to his past experience as a Rune Knight, Darren is eager to prove his worth, willing to take any challenges on his way.
He loves his family but bares hatred towards his father, who has done nothing but look down on him, Darren even claimed that he is willing to kill his father if ever he looks down on him again.
Abilities[]
Darren is an extremely a talented swordsman and an expert in hand-to-hand combat. Combined this with his quick thinking and his willingness to take risk, makes him a very formidable foe.
Darren is a Blessed with a Gift called Blink which gives him the ability to transfer to one place to another just like a blink of an eye.
Darren also posses the Requip Magic which gives him the ability to changes his weapon into variety of blades with various abilities.
