Chika Oguie is one of the main characters from the Genshiken anime and manga.
Joins about midway through the series, swiftly becoming the character most often in the spotlight. Unlike most of the Genshiken, she is very hesitant about being an otaku as a result of a trauma inflicted on her in middle school.
Chika is currently the girlfriend of Kanji Sasahara.
In the AWA fics, Chika is a student at the AWA Academy.
Appearance[]
Chika has a petite frame and has a short black hair that she sometimes ties in a spiky top-knot and has darkish-purple eyes. Her attires changes over the course of the series.
Personality[]
She is a self-professed otaku-hater who feels a deep-seated shame and self-loathing toward her own interests and hobbies. She is deeply ashamed of her otaku nature, but gradually comes to accept it as the series progresses. While she is initially self-loathing and cynical, her eyes don't reflect light. When later she begins to open her heart to other people, her eyes begin to shine.

In Chapter 26, Chika, alongside Kenjirou Hato, Mirei Yajima and Rika Yoshitake, is seen browsing some works in a yaoi doujinshi corner somewhere inside the building of OTAKUMANIA.

- She switched to contacts when she went to college, but she uses her old glasses as a disguise sometimes.
- She says she thinks Sue would be a good match for Madarame.
